Vermont is always beautiful especially when the tourists leave but we do have a love/hate relationship with the tourists because living in state where tourism is the mainstay of our economy, we'd starve without them. We've been having a fantastic summer. Good rains, and glorious sunny days with moderate temperatures.

We'll have a tourist reprieve between Labor Day up until the leaves turn, then another one (stick season) until the snow flies and ski season begins. Hunting season is in between there somewhere but the hunters stay in the woods where they belong.

You place sounds so peaceful and idyllic.
